National Geographic Images

For those who have never been on National Geographic's site, they constantly upload amazing images that are drawn from their magazine articles and other sources in their "Photo of the Day" section. Subject matter ranges from culture to science and wildlife and everything in between. Before I took this class and was opened up to other photography, this was my main source enjoyment. I specifically enjoy the journalistic "slice of life" scenarios that are depicted in these scenes, a very genuine candidness that is easily relatable to, regardless of whatever exotic country or culture the subject hails from.

Many of the photos included in this gallery have been submitted by amateur subscribers, winners of various "photo of the month competitions," as well as freelance photographers and article-writers.
